Visa Application Fees

To apply for a visa, you will have to pay:

Visa fee - charged by the responsible consular post for processing the visa application;
Service fee - charged for any visa application submitted via TLScontact.

Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fee do not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. The visa fee and service fee are both non-refundable and non-transferable even if the visa application is denied by the responsible consular post or if the applicant decides to withdraw his or her application after submission.

⁽¹⁾ Family member in this context meaning:

The spouse of a European Union citizen;

The partner with whom a citizen of the European Union lives in a de facto union established in accordance with the law or with whom the citizen maintains a permanent relationship duly certified by the competent authority of the Member State where he resides;

The direct descendant under 21 years of age or who is dependent on a citizen of the European Union, as well as the spouse or partner within the meaning of the previous subparagraph;

The direct ascendant who is a dependent or a citizen of the European Union, as well as his or her spouse or partner within the meaning of subparagraph ii);

The direct ascendant who is dependent on a minor citizen of the European Union.

* These fees are set in Euros (EUR) but must be paid only in Algerian Dinars (DZD) and may change as a result of currency fluctuation.

The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the Consulate and is updated periodically, therefore the amount in DZD you are requested to pay may differ from those quoted above. Please note that your visa fee receipt will only quote the fee paid in EUR.

The Service Fees are DZD 3,400.00 to be paid for any visa application. The amount of the service fees was decided in agreement with the Portuguese Embassy in Algeria and corresponds to the various services of TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.)
